The creation of domain .cat as first and only cultural domain throughout the world opened a door to other cultural performances and social conditions in the Network; in this regard a group of people committed to our community and with the internet, created an association of face to the nomination of Madrid, as the next extension of domain to able to register on the Internet.
This action would ensure that all those companies , associations, individuals, etc., in the Community of Madrid, could visit his name or trademark with the extension .madrid, in this way domains such as www.turismomadrid.is , could become www.tourism.madrid , or the name of your company could have the extension .com (international), .is (national) and .madrid (regional).
This new rules of the ICANN is currently followed by a multitude of initiatives such as is happening in Spain with the domains linguistic and cultural rights.
